Nice Faith haul! IIRC not all of their albums are particularly easy to find. Were you able to snag them for reasonable prices? They've gotta be one of the most underrated bands in the scene.

The remastered version definitely has a crisper sound. The instruments are also more balanced. There's also a track on the original that's an excerpt from a sermon against abortion. No music on the song, just preaching. There's a sample from the sermon on the song "Proverbs." Honestly, I'll probably listen to the remastered version more often.

Just realized I never answered your other question. I got the first 3 albums from the same seller on Discogs and they were a reasonable price. The fourth album wasn't bad either, so I kind of lucked out.

What do you think about the new Theocracy and Destroyer Of Death CDs? Mosaic finally arrived and I've had a chance to listen to it a couple times through. So far I am really digging it - much more than their previous two albums. I look forward to giving it some more careful listens and really diving into it.

I ordered the DOD CD along with the new Signum Regis so it won't arrive for a bit. Reception to it seems a little mixed, so I don't exactly have super high expectations, but I'm looking forward to it regardless.

Theocracy is good, which I expected. I was not a big fan of Ghost Ship, but Mosaic is much better. The Destroyer of Death album is very good. I think I like it better than the new Theocracy album, but time will tell. I have only seen good things about it online, so this is the first time I'm hearing anything negative about it. Rob Rock is amazing on vocals, as always. My only complaint is that it could be longer. One song is on there twice in two different versions.

I preordered the new Signum Regis as well, so looking forward to that. With Theocracy, Narnia, Destroyer of Death, and Signum Regis all releasing albums this year, it has been an amazing year for power metal.

Kind of glad I'm not a part of the CMR forum. They sound kind of pretentious and I'd probably end up arguing with everyone. If I want complex songwriting, I'll listen to progressive or technical subgenres. Power metal is all about sweeping guitar riffs and choruses. Anyway, I won't say anymore because you should form your own opinion.

For Narnia, I recommend starting with their album Enter the Gate. It's got a little bit of everything that makes Narnia great: memorable choruses, catchy guitars, and even an epic 8-minute ballad.

Haha yeah, some of the folks over on CMR can be quite the harsh critics indeed.  I suppose I'm just grateful that there's enough good stuff coming out of the Christian scene to be picky about!
