Sounds like an awesome concert. Hopefully Taking the Head of Goliath releases a full-length album in the near future.

Yeah that album really is something special and quite unique. What do you think of The Kiss... The Hope? It's no Solace, but I still like it quite a bit.

I liked "The Kiss... The Hope" ok, but not nearly as much as Solace. Solace is one of those description defying albums that you just have to listen to and dissect.

(I like their second album better.)

Faithless Minutes Devoured - The Sun Fades On Mankind's Dust

Pretty good and quite underrated funeral doom/drone.

I actually prefer the first Mortal Treason album, but both are great.

Nope!

Nothing -core has ever caught my fancy. I've been to a couple metalcore concerts which were a lot of fun though. It makes for great music to see live and mosh to but otherwise it just doesn't interest me for some reason.

That's fair. To each their own. Metalcore was what got me into metal in the first place, so there are still a lot of bands that are near and dear to my heart.

Gotcha. I have a lot of music like that too. It's amazing at how much nostalgia music can bring. There are a few bands/albums that every time I hear them, it takes me back to a specific time in my past.
