What Are You Listening To (Secular/Other)?

Most of us have some secular music mixed in with our Christian music.  What are you currently listening to that's not Christian and/or metal?

Right now it's Morgion - The Ebb Tide (Parts 1 & 2).  This was my first doom/death album and remains the benchmark to which I compare all others to.  I've never found another album quite like it.

More quality doom/death.  I'm curious if it's just a coincidence or not that the title of Morgion's first EP Among Majestic Ruin is so similar to that of Dusk's album Majestic Thou In Ruin that came out two years earlier.

The new Darkwater album Human is AMAZING.  Definitely one of my favorite releases so far this year.  7 tracks on the album are 7+ minutes, which I think is awesome as I'm a fan of long songs.  If you like any of their previous albums or just progressive metal in general, you will like this album.

16 Horsepower - My Narrow Mind

There are a couple other bands that do this style of "gothic americana" really well, though they've got some lyrics I'm not stoked on.  I wish 16 HP was still making tunes...  The stuff they did release is all gold though so I'm grateful for that!

Lots of Stoner metal lately. Bummed that there is basically no Christian stoner metal. And I haven't found much in the way of Sludge lately either.

Yeah I'm not aware of too many Christian bands that play stoner/doom metal in that style. You might check out Black With Stars, Starchild, and Faustian Slip. There's also this thread in which we discussed Christian traditional doom metal:

Does anyone here ever listen to soundtracks?  John Williams and Howard Shore are two of my favorite composers.  The Lord of the Rings music is amazing.

I never got into soundtracks but wouldn't mind getting the 1986 animated Transformers soundtrack one of these days haha.
