Obscure Gems: Doooooooom Metal

Ah, my favorite genre: DOOOOOOOM!  What are some obscure, tragically unknown, or rare Christian doom metal albums/bands that you love?  This could be traditional doom, epic doom, doom/death, etc.

One of the more obscure bands I can think of is Implacable.  They only ever put out three demos/EPs but they're really fantastic.  All three were available on their website for free to download though the website is no longer up.  (If you want the files, I'll be happy to send you them.)


Russian doom/death band Ekklesiast doesn't get the love it deserves.  They have two full-lengths which I really enjoy.  They're [mostly] all sung in Russian which may be a turnoff to some though.


Under The Sun's one album is really stellar.  It's fairly upbeat for a doom metal album, but somehow works amazingly.

Keeping up with obscure black metal is expensive enough, I can't financially support getting into TWO genres of obscures lol... I just have basic doom metal...

Faustian Slip just announced that their new album is nearing completion. I'm stoked! They're a very underrated gem in Christian doom metal IMO. Check 'em out!

Bumping an old thread!

I'll add Entorn to this list.  They're fairly straight-forward doom/death metal but well done and with good lyrics dealing with struggles and pain but also hope in Christ. This was a project by Todd of Norther Ash and Transfigural Form and Felipe of Sorrowstorm.  It recently got re-released on CD but is also available digitally.
