Missionary Work in Paraguay

Hey there! I haven't shown here for a while, but for a bigger cause.
The church I attend to is having a missionary work in Paraguay. It's an association with a "branch" from Presbyterian Church in Brazil in a city called Santa Rita, in Paraguay. About 3 hours from where I live.

From Friday to Sunday morning, there'll be health programs, skits, music, Biblical stories and games in schools, on the streets, and we're finishing at church.

We're taking the road this Friday at 2:00 AM. We've been praying, fasting, rehearsing for about 3 months. Lots of things have happened during this time. We're pretty sure Satan's not okay with what we'll do. Mainly with our leaders. They got really sick this week.

We're in a group of 40-42.

So, that's my Prayer Request.

May God be always our light, shield and strength.

It was an awesome experience! Better than ANYONE could expect. We felt that the church in Paraguay got really pumped up. The senior pastor said we were the 3rd or 4th church in about 3 months that visited them. All of these churches motivated them, for they were feeling demotivated and thinking about giving up.

We arrived on Friday at 7AM, and at 9AM we started walking down the streets inviting people our children's main event on Saturday, while stopping at some main spots and doing some skits. A big group went to 2 different high schools, and a small group went to a kindergarten school. The building in this last one seemed to be in a risky situation, also the kids in there, but surely we could gather some smiles and tell about how Jesus take care of our hearts (a skit talking about a sad and dirty heart that Jesus cleaned).

On Saturday we were really busy preparing the church to receive the kids in the afternoon. We took a bus and drove around some neighborhoods and gathered some families to attend. The main topics were the history of Jesus' birth and his love/care; oral and body hygiene. Also we gave a small kit packed with toothpaste, toothbrush, and dental floss. At the end, we had hotdogs, soccer, trampoline, jump rope, face drawings.
Still on Saturday, in the evening we did a pyro show, and the ones that stopped to watch, we invited to the late service, where the pastor talked about the Prodigal Son after a skit with the same subject (the skit was based on the song Tears of the Saints, by Leeland). After the service, there were 3 more skits, all of them talking about the fall of men and redemption (showed in different perspectives).

On Sunday morning we took the bus back to Brazil.

Not only them, but also our group got pumped up. Going outside the four walls is important and meaningful for a church's life.
