Corona Virus / How's Everyone Doing?

How's everyone doing through this Corona Virus ordeal? Staying safe? Still employed? Got enough toilet paper?

We're doing alright. I don't have much of any work right now so it's a bit concerning if this keeps up for too long (and with what long-lasting effects this may have on the economy...) but all the more opportunity to put our trust fully in Him and not job/finances/self-sufficiency. I'm not aware of anyone I know who has/had the virus but then again I haven't been socializing much these days! On the bright side, I've been able to spend a lot of time with my wife and kid - as well as make great progress on the yard, garage, and house projects. Selfishly, I'm also incredibly grateful to have gotten out of the Californian Bay Area and be up here in north Idaho. How's everyone else doing?

Hey Kerrick, glad to hear ya'll are safe! Im still working since uncle Sams employees are considered essential lol. I've had a lot of client cancellations so its been slow at work but still need to show up. Other than that we have all we need and I have been enjoying staying home over the weekend, I been tackling projects too. I hope things pick up at work for you soon and seriously you're blessed being out of CA.

Thanks! Yeah hopefully things pick up soon. Our country really needs it... But gosh I am not jealous of anyone in CA, especially the big city areas. I suspect this is going to spur a lot of folks moving out this way from there though...

Sorry for not checking in lately. I've been under a lot of pressure with my job. This is the third week of teaching online (working from home) and we received very little training, yet the expectations are still high. So far I've had mixed results. There are a lot of kids who just aren't doing the work. I understand why some of them aren't --- jobs, babysitting siblings, lack of access to technology -- but it raises a lot of questions about grades and student learning this year.

The only good thing about this that's related to schools is that they cancelled state testing for this year.

Please pray for teachers and students, we really need God's guidance right now.

I'm officially back at work. My wife likely had COVID, so I spent 2 weeks taking care of her and the kids (with her in quarantine), and 2 weeks at home to make sure I am not a carrier. My business has sort of collapsed, so praying things get up and moving again. And miss being around other christians haha

I am an Acupuncturist actually. I'm hoping things pick back up in the near future. I finally got some unemployment checks to get us through which is good.
