New My Silent Wake Album (July 2020)!

This month marks 15 years of MSW. Jasen, Andi and I had played our last gig as Ashen Mortality the previous Autumn and felt it was time for a name change and a slightly different focus to the band, for a number of reasons. The original lineup consisted of the three of us. Very soon we were joined by Alan and Kate. This photo was taken in Weston super Mare close to my home at the time and was probably taken very soon after the decision to start the band. In July we are to release our 11th album. 15 new tracks for our 15th anniversary. The album will be released by Opa Loka.

Great news! MSW albums are always amazing and are one of my favorite doom bands. 15 tracks sounds like a lot of new material to digest. I also saw Ian post something about his solo project this week, but I haven't checked it out. Hopefully, it will be something like Preservation Restoration Reconstruction because I very much enjoyed that as well.

Yeah I saw that too! I'm very curious. IMO the solo track he posted was more akin to something you'd hear on Invitation To Imperfection than PRR.

I finally bought this! Looks like the label can ship to the US now so I ordered it. I've listened to it once through and really dig it a lot. As far as their ambient/experimental albums go, this is one of the best they've done IMO.
