In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
I'm sure we've all got our respective lists of Christian metal holy grail albums we've been searching for and haven't been able to find (for a reasonable price) just yet. Post 'em here and that way we can all keep an eye out for one another. Maybe while searching for album X for myself, I come upon album Y which Matthew has been looking for for years or album Z which is on Adam's list, etc. Or who knows, maybe Deepfriar has album X and never listens to it anymore and wants it to go to a good home!
My holy grails:
Antestor - The Defeat Of Satan
Kreyson - Zákon džungle (if you find this for me, I'll be your best friend for life! Pinky-promise!)
Pilgrimage - Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam (or any of their stuff, really)
Slechtvalk - Falconry
Virgin Black - Demo
(I prefer new, though for some of these, that'll be impossible.)

Okay, I'll get on board with this. Here's my want list. I'm aware that a couple of the less rare titles may have showed up on Discogs recently (or may still be on there), but I'm on a budget currently lol.
The list:
VIXIVI (anything)
Arch of Thorns - anything
Armageddon Holocaust - Into Total Destruction
Abdijah - Satanic Rebellion Crushed
Light Shall Prevail - Goatcrush or Defeat the Reign of the Horned One Through the Light of Christ
Erasmus - Sanguinus Nocturnus
Photosynthesis - Turning Toward the Light
Agathothodion - Traum Von Gott
Winterkou/Jordskaelv - split
Exaudi - Sehnsucht
Dark Procession - Eternal Autumn Solitutde or the Flaskavsae split
Phanerosis - Ocaso De Soledad
Armifherum - Las Puertas Del Infierno No Prevalecerán
Vociferor - Fall of Man
Vaande - untitled
Flaskavsae - anything except Celestial and In Memory (including splits)
A doom title I need: Roots of Tragedy - Awakening Beyond

Ooh yeah that VIXIVI album would be really cool... I regret not downloading it off their website when I had the chance. Oh well. Some label REALLY needs to re-release all their stuff!
The Vociferor EP is available form a private seller on Amazon for $3 used:

Yeah that's probably one of those that I will end up waiting too long until it becomes more expensive lol.

I may be acquiring a couple of my wantlist titles this paycheck. Negotiating with a seller currently.

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
Okay, I edited my original post. I have acquired Exaudi - Ein Stein and Nomad Son - The Eternal Return so that's 2 less I have to worry about. It's about time I pick up the Nomad Son, been wanting it a long time. Now I have all three of their albums.

Oh nice! If you like Nomad Son's other two albums, you'll definitely like The Eternal Return too.

Yeah, based on what I sampled, I have actually had the opinion that The Eternal Return is their best album... yay/nay?

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
All three of their albums are extremely solid and there's definitely no bad/weak album. Personally, I like The Darkening the most, followed by First Light and then The Eternal Return. TER doesn't have any songs that particularly stand out to me, though it doesn't have any remotely bad songs either - whereas the other two albums both have a couple songs with five star ratings in my iTunes haha.

Aww yeah! \m/ Because all of their albums are so strong, it's really just up to personal preference. I'll be curious how you stack 'em up once you have a chance to get to know all three.

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
Okay well, I'm removing the Morgenroede from my list... I made a lower offer on eBay and was able to get it. VERY stoked to add these titles to my collection, but I'm way over budget this pay period LOL I have to take a break for purchasing. DC better hold off on the new Vials of Wrath. Need a production delay, or something.

Whaaaaaaat? Oh man, jackpot! Congrats.
Haha yeah this month I'm going pretty over-budget too... Death Therapy's new album supposedly went up for pre-order today too. Do you know when the new VOW is due?

I'd like to get that Death Therapy but I'm going to have to hold off.
I remember something about the VoW estimated as "early 2019" or maybe I just made that up because I was impatient for it. If Ataraxia is any indication, I think this will be VoW's best yet and probably go on a top 10 list (which is why I didn't include VoW on my list [yet]).
Hopefully, we get new music from DC soon (but after a couple more paychecks lol).

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
Yeah Ataraxia is fantastic. I remember seeing DC post something to the effect of Ataraxia being more upbeat/spring-like whereas the new one will be colder, darker, and more winter-like. Everything Vials Of Wrath is instant-buy for me, and each release is better than the last so I've got mighty high hopes as well!

They are very close, but I think I actually like Seeking Refuge just a TAD more than Days Without Names... not a popular opinion, I know.

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
This is kind of difficult to come up with, as there are still tons of albums out there that I want. In some cases, I own digital copies of music where I couldn't find a physical copy of a CD.
Holy Grails (in no particular order, CDs only):
Illuminandi - In Via
Crimson Thorn - Unearthed (Atmomic Records 1994 original pressing)
Crimson Thorn - Dissection (Morphine Records 1997 original pressing)
Crimson Thorn - Purification
Antestor - The Defeat of Satan
Slechtvalk - The War that Plagues the Lands
GROMS - Ascension (Groms Recrods 1994 original pressing)
Living Sacrifice - Living Sacrifice (REX Music, 1991 original pressing)
Place of Skulls - With Vision (Southern Lord, 2003 original pressing)
Haste the Day - That They May Know You (Self-released EP from 2002)
Immortal Souls - Under the Northern Sky
Seventh Angel - The Torment (either of the original 1990 pressings)
Seventh Angel - Lament for the Weary (1991 original pressing)
Crimson Moonlight - Eternal Emperor (self-released 1998 original pressing)
I'm sure that there are more that I can't think of right now, but this is a good start to my list.
If anyone has any leads on any of these albums for decent prices, I'm all ears. I don't mind buying used as long as it is in good condition.
With some of the rarer albums, it's always best to have pictures and/or know the seller, as there have been a few occasions that I've come across bootlegs or fakes.

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
The VIXIVI download for Death Circus is still available from archive.org, somehow. I'd give a link but it won't let me because I'm so new, lol. If you go to the Unblack Archives page for VIXIVI, the link is there.
I'd love to get my hands on a VIXIVI album at some point too, though.
Anyway, here is my wantlist:
Allsherjar - Bevara Gud Vart Fosterland
Bleakwail - Dome
Bleedience - Parable of the Gun
Crimson Moonlight - Eternal Emperor
Crimson Moonlight - Glorification of the Master of Light (cassette)
Crimson Moonlight - Glorification of the Master of Light ~Live~
Enitor - Morgue
Frosthardr - Necrodisaster
Slechtvalk - Cries of the Haunted
Vaakevandring - Live at DP
Vaande - Vaande
Virgin Forest - A Meditation Upon the Majesty and Providence of God
Vital Decision - Vital Decision
Anything from VIXIVI

Yeah, according to MA, track 8's download link seemingly never worked, or at least it didn't work for long before it broke.

Re: In Search Of (Holy Grails)...
^I remember that... For whatever reason, VIXIVI was one of the first Christian black metal bands I ever discovered. At that time their website was still up and I kick myself now for not downloading Death Circus from it when I could've, but at the time I was foolishly waiting to find a CD and downloading an incomplete album just didn't seem right haha.

The download is still available here:

Credit to NI for discovering this. I don't know how that man finds the things like this.
