Antlers As Roots (atmospheric black metal)

I figured some folks here might be interested to know that Antlers As Roots have just released their debut EP on tape.  One of the two members of Hesychast was in this band and I know we've got a few Hesychast fans on here.    I have their s/t EP which is very good, comparable to possibly Wolves In The Throne Room or Altar Of Plagues.  Check 'em out!

This sounds pretty decent, but the cymbals bother me a little bit for some reason. I think maybe the drums are a bit too high in the mix.

The shrieks remind me a bit of the vocalist from Evroklidon.

I like the album art, too!

I got my tape in the other day.  All three songs are very good.  And I gotta say, I am super impressed with the packaging.  The design, attention to detail, and little goodies are pretty dang cool.  The box has the artwork wrapped around it and has a red paper ribbon with the band's logo over it.  It came with three stickers and a little info card, plus some promotional material from the label.
