Two of the guys from Dalit, Stronghold, Cloth, etc. have a new black metal project that sounds mighty cool!  I'd categorize this as "safe secular" since the lyrics are not Christian, but the members are Christian (as far as I know).

There's an article in Norwegian here:
https://www.heavymetal.no/blog/posts/nattmannens-udaad

google translation:

heavymetal.no wrote:And the theme does not hang on religious or political pegs. The band is inspired by Danish and Norwegian society, morality and public executions, all in the period from the 17th to the 19th century. "The material contains phrases and mindsets from the culture and lifestyle of this era."

"With a focus on the shame, horror and cruelty of our history, Nattmann paints a dark musical landscape of human mindset, power, injustice and abuse of power. Nattmann takes his name from the role of local outcast figures who, among other shameful tasks, assisted the executioner in his dark deeds."

The EP will be released on March 1st, it's a digital release, I'll submit the songs when they're ready. The three tracks were recorded by the band themselves, they left the mixing/mastering to the well-known Tom Kvålsvoll (Kvalsonic Labs).
