All "Other" Music Purchases

So you bought some sweet music but it's not Christian and/or metal?  Post about it here!

I recently bought Euphoreon's two albums.  Euphoreon is (was) a two-man project including Eugen from Far Beyond and Ecthirion, influenced by Wintersun and the likes.  If I had to categorize, I'd say it's epic melodic death metal.

Just got Impelliteri's new album The Nature of the Beast.  I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but I am sure it will be great.  Rob Rock is the current singer, so sometimes they have Christian themes to some of the songs.

As I mentioned in the Dusk thread, I ordered their new EP and compilation CD of their full-length and previous EP.  I requested it to be signed (why not!) which they said they'd be happy to do but it'll delay it some due to the band living a little ways apart.  I'm really looking forward to those CDs arriving though!

I got Underoath's "Erase Me" for Christmas. Overall I like the album, even though they no longer consider themselves to be a Christian band.

My copy of Angra - Freedom Call / Holy Live arrived yesterday.  I am incredibly impressed with how quickly it arrived from Germany!  Angra is one of the first metal bands I discovered (after Metallica and Maiden) and has remained a favorite of mine throughout the years.  This compilation is really stellar and I definitely recommend for any fans of the band.

While I'm assuredly still a metalhead (I listen to a lot of metal, have no fear), my listening tastes have broadened a bit. I recently picked up Celtic Woman - Ancient Land and Mediaeval Baebes - Mirabilis. I can't say their name without a bit of a chuckle, but Mediaeval Baebes are pretty good--kind of like a softer, more folky Celtic Woman.

I assumed so.    Does it have notes from Victor about each song?  My two favorite songs from that album happen to be the two that got remade for the In-Graved album but the whole CD is quite good.

actually i didnt buy any metal lately.
only pop.
but i like listening to in flames sounds of a playground fading
i never knew there was difference in the the growling sounds.
i already tried imitating his voice on that cd.
but i couldnt
i can imitate cannibal corpse and napalm death(sounds too generic right?)

when i listen to melodic death metal i usually listen to:
in flames, children of bodom(hatebreeder ), and immortal souls
a found a band name to play/ i could call it Isnat
