What Ever Happened To _________?
I was listening to my iTunes on shuffle and a song by Wintersoul came on. They released one very strong album and then disappeared. It got me thinking, whatever happened to them? And there are numerous other bands that rather than releasing some official breakup notice or something, just drifted off quietly. So here's a thread where folks can post questions about various bands they are curious about and hopefully with the forum's collective knowledge of obscure Christian metal, we might get some answers!

Erasmus and Dormant are bands that stopped randomly and I wish were still around. Both of them made great black metal.

I totally agree... I would love to know what those guys are up to and if they ever intend on making more music.

I'm also really curious about the Slovak (un)black metal band Pilgrimage. They just sorta disappeared. I've been trying to get ahold of them for a few years in hopes of tracking down their CDs to no avail. Anyone know anything about them?

I'd be very interested in a reappearance by Wintersoul or Evroklidon.

Oh yeah Evroklidon! Another release from him/them would be awesome. Grave Declaration made one of my all-time favorite albums and I think they're just straight-up inactive now. Some of their members are still active in other projects, and last I heard, GD was working on a new album, but from what I understand there hasn't been an update in quite some time...

Evroklidon is an interesting one... If I recall correctly, one of the guys went neo-nazi or something for a bit and then ultimately repented and came back to the faith. A second album was in the works I thought, but that was YEARS ago and I haven't heard anything. The Flame Of Sodom was one of the first Christian black metal albums I ever bought and remains a favorite of mine. I'd sure love to hear more from them, but I'm grateful we have at least one classic!

Grave Declaration is also one of my faves! It's hard to make music when one has other responsibilities. Hoping they'll come out with something in the next few years....

Anyone know what's up with Children Of Wrath? The band's page as well as Luke's personal page appear to no longer be on facebook anymore. :/

Re: What Ever Happened To _________?
Luke just sent out an email to all the Children Of Wrath subscribers on Bandcamp. I'm glad he's alright and I'm hopeful for a 3rd album! I got permission to re-post it:
Children Of Wrath wrote:Hey Everyone. I hope you're all happy and healthy. Long time, no post (from me). I'm sorry it went down like that. Due to the Coronavirus I've had extra time lately (work from home) and I wanted to catch up with everyone.
Firstly, I want to thank everyone for their support weather it be word of mouth, purchases, streams, mentions, and the few really nice emails I've gotten from around the world that I haven't replied to. It's not you, it's me lol. All that stuff you all tell me is amazing and makes me glad I put the music out there.
After Supernatural Dimensions came out my job ended up taking over my whole life. Lots of nasty things went on (4 years into a corporate merger and things never settled down) and basically I was always on call, not sleeping, picking up lots of slack, and being manipulated and abused. Nothing physical like that. Just bad people taking advantage of good people. I had no time to myself (family, music, etc) anymore. It was becoming a mental health issue. Around that time I also quit social media because 1) I can't stand it (I had previously quit it years before 2) Shadow bans. I still hate social media but I least i can communicate through bandcamp.
I dont have to tell anyone how crazy things are right now. It might be too late to prep physically but you can still prep spiritually. Read your Bible, pray, and watch out for fakes.
I dont know if there is a 3rd CoW coming out any time soon but I have done a few slow and tedious upgrades to the studio studio and started laying down one of a few ideas that have been rolling around in my head. Be safe everyone. I can't fit any more text lol - Luke Dinan
